Hello one and all. I just bought my first Vibe, and fell into this forum looking for technical advice. I've been well impressed with this forum, the mods, and vast amount of Vibe info that exists here. I'm about to undertake a pw, pd, cruise upgrade on this vehicle, and have found lots of great how-tos here. Thanks to all of you that keep this site going.I did have one question though. My Vibe (2004) came with the 6-disk changer. It works and sounds fine, but many of the commonly used buttons are starting to wear badly. The black paint over the backlit white plastic is coming off. Would anyone know of a good method to fix this. Replacement buttons from a broke unit? Some type of black enamel paint that sticks well to plastic? Any thoughts/ ideas are appreciated. If someone has an old unit that has good buttons please let me know.Thanks.
welcome. As for your radio issue. Don't press the buttons so much LOL leave it alone.Other than that replacement would be your only option at this time.

Welcome! I know EXACTLY what you are talking about...I have the same 6-cd setup, and I got my baby back from the morons (see below) and parts of the buttons were scraped, so more than just the letters glow!!!! When I saw the pics from my insurance agent I saw why...the neanderthals had the dash, shift console, radio, etc. DANGLING.
