HID question

ok im sure someone here can help me......my passenger HID light wont come on when i initially turn it on so i switch my lights off and back on again and it will come on......but it doesnt happen all the time sometimes they will both come on....i know the ballasts and bulbs are both good and everything is connected right nothing is loose.....should i try cutting the ground wire that goes into the factory harness and ground it to something metal on my car? thanks

Hmm...I'm not sure that cutting up your harness will do any good. Double check your wiring. I found that the wires were reversed from the stock harness, and just reversed the plug on the HID kit.Does it do this all the time, like every other time you turn on your lights they do not work?Did you disable DRL?Could be something wrong with your relay.

all the wires match up i would say 4/5 times i turn them on the passenger side wont come on till i turn them off an turn them back on

yea my drl/ auto on lights are disabled too...i also dont have a relay maybe i should get one

I'm wondering if you need a 470uf cap. There is a writeup either here, matrixowners, or one of the celica sites that have pictures. It allows you to use HID without having to disable your DRL.
