New wheels!

Post by yanncn »

Sorry for my bad English!!!I have the opportunity to purchase used 225-55-R17 tires and aluminium wheels that were on a 2007 GXP Grand Prix. Will it fit on a basic 2009 1.8 Vibe?If I keep the wheels and I put 215-45-R17 tires on them? What about the bolt pattern?Thank you for your help to a french canadian owner!

Not 100% sure on the GXP but the GTP were 5x115.Vibe is 5x100.

the gxp came with 18 rims 255/40/18Apparently the front tires are wider than the rear tires on the gxp.So I would say NO the gxp rims won't work. Now if you ment GT then the gt wheels should fit they are 5x100 with a 225/55/17 tire.

As far as I know, all FWD W-Body based GM cars (Grand Prix, Impala, Regal, etc) are 5x115 bolt pattern, so they won't work on a Vibe.

I thought I read some where that the 09 vibes have a different bolt pattern than the 03-08 vibes did. If thats the case then 5x100 is not right.

Missed the bit about the '09. I saw 07 on the GP and that's all that registered.

So basic 1.8 2009 Vibe has the 5x100.The best are 17x7 wheels and 215-45-R17 tire?

The 07 Grand Prix has 5x115 (same as any other Grand Prix bolt pattern)OEM tire size: F - 255/45R18 R - 225/50R18This will not fit on a Vibe.As for the Vibe's bolt pattern, the 09 1.8 and all previous Vibe's had 5x100. The 2.4 and beyond have 5x114.You will be best to stay with the OEM 215/45R17 tiresI hope this takes care of the confusion
