I know there's lots of dog lovers on GV so I'm hoping for some help.Within the last week or so a neighborhood dog decided to use my driveway and front yard as his personal litter box. I work shift work (read: not normal working hours), so finding the owner is near impossible, and judging by the paw prints in the snow the owner isn't present at the time anyways. Are there any deterrents I can use to prevent fido from icing up my driveway? I'll make it clear right now that I don't want anything that will harm said pooch. Just something to keep him out of my yard. I've heard that Cayenne pepper or vinegar in the area will keep him away. Just wondering if either of those work, and to make sure I won't be causing the pup any harm.

I don't know if you can get it in canada but I used to do all the printing for this company when they started business.http://www.liquidfence.com/dog-repellent.htmlit works very well but you need to reapply after ever rain or snow fall.. Compleatly harmless. It's bascally garlic, rotten eggs and water LOL you can try to make it yourself if you like LOL

Thanks for the link. I'll take a look if they have that liquid fence around here. I've been having a heck of a time finding info on the net. There's some really horrid ideas out there about keeping pups off the property. Quote, originally posted by shemp »...that might keep the pooch away, but I'm going to come over and make a salad! As long as you're not peeing in my yard I'm fine with that. I'll even buy the fancy blended lettuces.
