Oil pressure switch

Post by to106 »

After changing the oil filter in my 2005 AWD vibe, I noticed Oil light not coming on during the start of the car. I took it to local mechanic and he changed the Oil pressure sending switch. Now the light is back on at the starting of the car. Would anyone know where is this switch located? I think I must have damaged the switch when removing the oil filter, because it was on really tight and had to use strap to loosen it. If it,s beside the oil filter I need to know, because I do not want to damage the switch again. If anyone knows the location of this switch I would appreciate it.

I believe it is just above the oil filter........where the filter screws on. There's a wire at the switch......you may have knocked it lose?????
