Pretty sure there were a couple...I had almost bought one but at around $180 decided not too at the time. Someone else should be able to chime in though.

That is NOT plug and play. It does however include a harness that gets installed in your vehicle which will have to be ran from the mirror location to the fuse box. About 1 hour to install total. I have one here by Donelly which also has a outside temperature sensor.

I'm not sure about the 2007, but on my 2009, I bought a mirror out of a 2003 Cadillac CTS and it was pretty much plug-and-play (I only had to short two pins on the existing wiring harness). The new mirror had auto-dimming and compass and I was able to retain the OnStar functionality too.Is the 2007 mirror wired for OnStar? If so, you might be able to do something similar.

Thanks for the information. My current mirror does not have onstar but only has map lights.

I don't plan to keep the phone service but I noticed the buttons on a CTS's mirror are different. Did you make a write-up anywhere? How difficult is the installation/mounting?

I just picked up one of these from a seller on eBay. The nice thing about this one is that it doesn't obscure the mirror with a black box for the display, plus this has Homelink built in so I won't have to keep a garage door remote on hand anymore.

How difficult is the installation/mounting?Yes, I was able to retain all the OnStar functions including the phone. On the CTS mirror, the phone button has a white dot instead of a phone, but it does the same thing.I didn't do a write-up. The installation is very easy. You just:1) retract the wire cover and remove it2) unplug the harness from the mirror3) loosen/remove the screw on the base of the mirror arm (at the windshield)4) slide the mirror upwards and it will come out5) get a short piece of stranded wire, strip both ends and use it to connect two of the holes in the harness (one has 12v, the other is empty and needs 12v). I can't remember which ones they are off-hand, but I can check later if anyone needs to know.6) attach the new mirror, plug in the harness and you're done.I couldn't use the wire cover with the CTS mirror because of the magnet for the compass, so the wire isn't perfectly hidden (not that it was well hidden in the first place). If you buy a CTS mirror, make sure it comes with the magnet (it's a box attached to the mirror) or else the compass won't work.I bought mine off ebay from LKQ for $30.

I'm thinking of doing this but cost is a big factor right now.

Most are closer to the 179.99 and a few in between.Just use "gentex homelink hidden" as your search criteria. If you save the search query you can also have eBay e-mail you whenever something comes up.Here it is installed:
