Well, it has finally happened. I just went over 100,000 miles in my vibe. Other than the awful grinding sound when I turn all the way to left, she's still running just fine. (Knock on wood)

No I haven't, but I don't think that is the problem though. You can feel the grind as well, and I know I need new brakes anyway. I think I will do brakes and see if that takes care of the problem. If not at least I will have fresh brakes!
If it occurs while you are moving I'd guess the outter CV joint,, if brakes grind when applied it should happen regardless of the wheel position,,Hope it's not too serious,, Congrats !!Cheers brbo
The milestone is A-OK, but any awful grinding is bad. Better take a chance at getting a little dirty and have a look at that corner soon. Hopefully it's not serious. 100,000 miles and looking mighty good!

Update: The grinding sound was just my engine shield. It was torn loose, probably from the ridiculous winter we've had so far, and was rubbing the wheels and junk. However, I still need brakes really bad.
