CV joint replacement DIY request

I replaced the clutch in my gf's Vibe using the guide (great help). I guess I messed up the boot on the CV joint (driver side) because the car has began shaking at high speed while accelerating (also found grease around area). Would someone create a guide or give some advice as to which parts should be replaced, special tools that will be needed, and where to find 'hard to find parts' (cv boot clamp, cv bolt socket). Any foresight and advice would be greatly appreciated.note:I thought this was a tire balance issue since we were up north and drove over every pothole in Illinois, and the problem came on rather suddenly. The tires have been balanced and rotated. It shakes only when driving around 60mph and either going uphill or accelerating. Motor mounts are fine but I'm still digging around.I can take pictures to put one together if someone can just let me know what all I'll need. I would just like to get this done in one sitting instead of driving back and forth to parts stores and/or spending lots of time on the phone.(can you tell I'm hesitant / apprehensive)
