Kenwood KFC-W3011s in a ported 4 cu ft boxHifonics BXi 1208D amp pushing themClarion EQS746Just finished the box, subs will be here the 29th, all i got to do is drop um in the holes. Let me know what you guys think. (The gray plastic you see in the pics is going to be covered with black roll-on bed liner.)had to hack apart my stereo bracket to get the eq to fit: This showed up on my door step Christmas Eve Never heard these subs before, I went with them as something temporary because they were cheap I'll put some more pics up and let you know how they sound when they get here the 29th.
Looks GREAT... I love that some are doing Audio to their Vibes... Few do really... What do you have for wire there? And I see a spare battery, what is it? It looks like my BatCap.. The aero ports, did you do all of the proper math for port length and whatnot? Aero ports get no love in the car audio community, besides in the SPL world... When you do get your next subs, we should talk about slot ports.. they are easier to build and sound better, overall... And the EQ is nice, but it can also be the weakest link in many systems, usually adding noise that shouldn't be there... that HU should have all the EQ you need to be honest.. my GF's brother has one similar.. what's the model # for it? Great work man, please don't take anything I say as a criticism, more of a helping hand, if you would..
4ga OFC running between the batteries, triple 8ga grounds in the back and front, battery is a generic Kinetik HC 600. Yeah did all the math for the ports running 2 3" ports at 5" long gives me a port velocity of .9 mach with the tuning at 35Hz. I have used square ports before but i wanted to try out these precision ports because i hear so much about them on other forums.EQ is a Clarion EQS746, it has a S/N of 105 dB and 7v pre-amps, I bought it because the tweeters were way too harsh at high volumes with the treble at -8 on the head unit and -4 on the amp. Its way clearer at high volume, less harsh, and i get more bass out of my speakers now. Thanks, I plan on running a Hifonics ZXi8408 for the door speakers when I get the money for it, mostly because I am so impressed with their BXi series (this is my 2nd one, and i got all my friends running them now) they run at 1 Ohm and barely get warm, and their so cheap. But does anyone have any experience with the ZXi's?
