Heater Oxygen Sensor Code P0031

Post by Kennyc_83 »

I am currently having a problem with my 2005 Pontic Vibe. The service engine light can on so I took it to AutoZone and it turned out be the oxygen sensor (the one on the exhaust manifold). I replace the sensor with a Bosch 15733 Universal Sensor and now it is coding p0031 which is a low voltage to the heater circuits. Has anyone had thi problem before?

Did you install this yourself??Did it happen right after it was installed??Most times it's a reversed wire, since you have to splice these into your old o2 harness, sometimes the wires get installed in the wrong configuration.Other than that, stay away from bosch o2 sensors.

I installed it myself. I called Bosch Tech Support and verified the wiring. The technician informed me that it was wired correctly. I also hear that the Bosch Universal sensors gives people a lot of problems. AutoZone is going to refund me the Universal sensor and give me the right one. I hope that this helps. I really appreciate your help.
