Vibe motor different than Matrix?

Post by Atomic »

OK, so I was at the Cambridge plant this week installing some equipment, talking to one of the engineers, when I told him that I drove a Vibe and loved it, he mentioned that he believed the Vibe engine is different than the Matrix engine, (he is in the Lexus RX program, the new ones look REALLY nice by the way).He said that the Vibe engine is built by Yamaha and apparently puts out a little more ACTUAL horsepower then the Toyota built unit.Does this sound believable to any of you?
