Part number for plastic wire channel between rear view mirror base and top of windshield

Post by cerulean »

I'm looking for a part number for this piece. The one in my Vibe is still there, but I've been eyeballing it for another car that I'm adding an auto dimming mirror to...I've looked at the online OEM GM and Toyota parts dealers, but no joy. Thanks,Bob

The autodimming mirror should have it in the kit that comes with it. You can try contacting the company that makes the mirror, they may be able to sell it to you. Another option would be to go to home depot and look for wiremold in the electrical section. It comes in various lenghts and thickness and is cheap. You could cut it to length, spray paint it black and stick it to the glass with foam tape. It would probably cost less than $10.00 for the wiremold and the paint. Here's a link to the wiremold web site: http://wiremold.com/www/consum...s.asp

The wire trim that came with it was too small to run my GPS power in also.I ended up going to the local Pontiac dealer and ordering the part. (I brought in the one from my Vibe, so the guy at the parts counter would know what I wanted.)The part number on the package is 88974014. The dealer charged me $4.
