Ummm..........I can't find the other post we had here that referenced these "electric superchargers", but most of us believe they will not work as claimed, and could acutally cause a restriction at high rpm. Not to mention the possibility of injesting a fan blade if they broke. I know there are some people here that do actually believe they work and are a good idea. I do not.

yeah,i remember a thread too...they work at WOT...when you find out how much air your engine sucks in at WOT anyway, compared to what these things can supply...then you realiz that they cant do anything much....

I agree!Even the claimed 1 psi seems dubious, not to mention underwhelming!Theoretically, 1 psi should give just under 7% power gain, or almost 9 HP on a base Vibe. Then you have to subtract the added electrical load, which even at 100% conversion efficency is about 1 HP, netting you a total of fewer than 8 thundering ponies! Considering that a decently efficient supercharger would likely take at least 7 or 8 HP to drive at 6-7 psi boost at max RPM (The 3800 Grand Prix guys say theirs need nearly 20 at 12 psi, and a Top Fuel dragster takes over 400 @ 40 psi.), a decent boost level for an electric supercharger would draw over 400 amps! Maybe the real appeal is being able to say: "Yeah, Supercharged..." without spending any real money!
