I purchased the extended warranty (5 yr 100K mile) for my 06. In most case, they are not worth it, but since I drive about 90-95 miles round trip to and from work every day, it was a no-brainer for me. Anyways, at 86K miles my CEL came on. I had them check it and it was an O2 sensor. I simply paid my $25 deductible and am good to go now!! The total bill came $301.57. $150.00 labor and $141.65 for the sensor, plus $9.92 for tax. Granted if I had to go it myself, prob $40ish for the sensor and just an hour of my time, but $25 and me not having to do it is much better!!!

Obviously I paid more for the warranty than the sensor. I bouth the warranty bc I put almost 30K on the car per year. It was nice the fact that paid less than what the part would have cost me elsewhere. That is the main point. If you are trying to reason that I wasted money on an extended warranty and all I got out of it was a replaced O2 sensor so be it. ButI look at it if I go beyond the regular warranty just after a little over a year, it's worth it to me.No, I'm not "bragging" about an inexpensive and easy to replace sensor, but it's always nicer when you can get it done for less and not have to worry about it.Not to mention, who knows what the CEL could have been setting off.
