Picked it up yesterday at Gamestop and I love it!!! Put in almost 3 hrs offline and about an hour online. This game is awesome!!! If you liked the first one, you will love this one. The first level or so is a little dark, but it fits with the game, but that has been my only complaint so far and I'm sure it will remain my only complaint.

I never played the first one, but the commercials for the second one look really cool. I'm going to get it when it starts hitting the "used" section. I'm cheap that way.

lol, It will prob only be maybe 5 less than new, but ya never know. If you have patience, ebay would work best for you. I have been fortunate to get new releases (less than a month old) for between 40-50 depending on the game.

PS3???? eeeew! i never played ANY game on PS3... so iono how great the first one was. i was gonna get a PS3... but dont need 2 systems right now.i wanna try this one out though

This is our Halo, assuming that you have a 360. I've never played Halo so I can't compare the two in terms of gameplay, but status wise, they are the same. Resistance= PS3 exclusive, FPS, top notchHalo= 360 exclusive (pending on which Halo ), FPS, top notch (from what I hear)

yeah halo was good... but its SOOOO overrated now and too many cheaters.COD4 is the #1 game in my books, but some PS3 games look REALLY good.

killzone 2 wolf thats also a ps3 exclusive. yes halo was/is over rated fun...but cheaters up the yang also with cod there are many cheaters now

that's why I tend to get games that have a great solo/offline game to it. I'm not that great of a gamer and then once you factor in the cheaters, I get killed a lot online

LOL... yeah im GOOD at COD4, but OMFG soooo many people find ways to hide and snipe or kill people.I love playing with friends or people that play to enjoy the game.theres not TOO many 2-player co-op games so its hard to want alot of games now a days.theres like 3-4 good ones coming out now... but too many for me to buy at the moment.

yeah, I can't speak for the 360, but it seems like the PS3 is finally hitting their stride (or it could just be the holiday season) for getting some good games out right now. There is like 5 or 6 that I want bad hahaha

I have found another downfall of the game and this one really peeves me. There is no offline two-player campaign!!! I loved the fact that before my cuz and I could play the same game that I could play solo and reign down on Chimera, but now, if you decide to play offline, they have special maps to play, which is awesome, but I just hate the fact that they took away the co-op that was on the previous Resistance.

No there is offline coop, look at the back of the game box. offline coop 2 player, online 2-8. wonder why you couldnt find it? was the 2nd controller on and ready? like in lbp it doesnt have a menu to choose 2-4 player you just sign in the controller and boom that person is in.

There are 3 sections to chose from: Campaign, Cooperative, & Competitive. Campaign is for solo only. Cooperative is for online and they also have an offline. The offline however is different than the campaign mode. We could play this new setup that they have for two (2-8) player, however, it's not like running through the campaign together like you could in the first Resistance. I don't think that Competitive has an offline mode.If I am over looking something and you find a way to go through Campaign mode with two players, please let me know.

yes campaign in this game is now random created maps with a loose story. it is not the exact single player missions...or so I hear. odd i agree....very odd.

i read a review at GameSpy.com and the way they made it sound is simply what you said. There are two different campaign modes, single and 2p. Apparently Insomniac wanted to give it more of a multiplayer push that the changed things up for the 2p offline. Still kinda disappointed, but I guess we'll just have to kill some Chimera differently now.

I like the coop single player missions. so once you said that i was like...(removed) i read a review and found the same thing. its just different missions made so you almost HAVE to use coop to pass. dissapointing sort of....but the main fun is drunk cooping and online...
