Hi all, I'm new to the forum and really like what I see. I need some help. I have a 2003 AWD and would like to lower it. I'm considering the Eiback Pro-Kit with the 1.2" F/R drop. I saw that someone mentioned that the AWD's sit about an inch higher than the base so if I use these springs will it actually lower 2.2" F/R? Will this cause a problem? Has anyone used these springs on a AWD? Anything I should look out for?Thank you!!!TD.
Welcome to GenVibe!!! Canuck Motorsports are the only springs made for the AWD. Nothing else has a high enough rear spring rate to prevent a saggy rear. The AWD is 1" higher than the 2WD in stock form. So even though the CM springs state 1.6" drop it is more like 2.25" drop since they didn't take the above into account. KeithVibe and I both have the CM springs and love them, except for a minor vibration between 20-25mph. I'm going have that looked at once I get my Vibe aligned in a week or two.KeithVibe: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=34559BlueCrush: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=34652http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=22889CM Website: http://www.canuckmotorsports.com/Ebay Store: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...11459 - Hey Keith, they updated the AWD drop amount in their description. There are CM springs for the Vibe on Ebay, but they are charging $39 more for them. The Matrix AWD springs are exactly the same. Hope this helps!~Brian

so i seeI am glad they did that. Better safe than sorry.Yea the canuck springs are the only ones rated for the awd.Any other spring you buy and put on the awd will make the rear of the car look like it's taking a dump or you have a very heavy load in the rear of the car at all times. Hotckis is another spring that can be used but they no long make the spring so you would have to find a used set.

Thanks for the comments...now I'm thinking I don't want to go that low. I don't want to sacrafice ride quality. So, that brings me to another question... Has anyone tried the stock 2wd springs on the AWD?
yesthat is why we have told you to get the canuck springsthe two wheel drive springs are too soft for the rear of the car.The AWD needs a higher spring rate on the rear because it has independent rear susp. The 2wd has a solid rear axle. You car will look like it has a very heavy load in the rear of the car at all times. The ride is nice on the canuck springs. I love the ride.Your only other option other than spring is to get tein coilovers made for the celicafor those your looking at 900-1000bucksDO NOT get k-sports they won't work the rear spring rate is to soft.

Has anyone tried the stock 2wd springs on the AWD?Sounds like .ou should probably just stay stock. It's that low or not at all. Any lowering tha you do will sacrifice ride quality...period. DO NOT put 2wd springs on the AWD...Seriously!!!!
