per Pontiac Bulletin to dealers:The Pontiac Vibe Supercharger durability and evaluation testing is scheduled for completion in April 2003. Once final approvals have been granted, product will be available for distribution 2nd quarter 2003.
Sounds like a stall. I got a card at least two months ago supposedly from my dealership claiming "come on in to order your supercharger", but when I called and inquired about it no one knew anything about the SC or the mailing I'd gotten.GM... Pontiac... If you're reading this: I'll believe a supercharger for the Vibe is real when you drive a Vibe with supercharger installed to my front door, take me for a demo ride, then show me the box with MY supercharger in it in the back of that Vibe. When you drop me off back at home, you can then help me install it (free for your time) since you've pissed me off by delaying the product way past promised delivery time. KSNeptune
I wonder what the durability test means at this point. You would have thought that GM had already ran through these tests before it set out it's up to 35% gain claims. Hopefully this won't be like the Mazdaspeed where it was suppose to have a lot more HP, but Ford wanted them to tone it down even more.
