RE: Canadian Financing?

Post by MountainMax »

The 0% finance offer expired today, or was suppose to, does anyone know if it's continued? My vibe is suppose to be built now and shipped (salesman will verify tomorrow) and I wondered what they are offering now?

I think you should get whatever financing it was when you signed your contract? So if you signed when it was 0%, you should get that.

Ah, really? Interesting... I didn't think it worked that way when I got mine back in 2002, but that was 6 years ago so I might not remember correctly.

I just bought my Vibe in Saskatoon yesterday, and the 0% for 60 months, 1.9% for 72 months is still on.

Canada only has $500.00 cash back and the way the Vibes are flying off the lots, it's doubtful you will get any more off then that.....

On GM website, the base model for a '09 Vibe is $15995. Is the $500 rebate already applied? I am thinking about getting the '09 Vibe with 1SB option. Can I get it at this price: $18995 - $500 + freight + tax? Thanks.Jack

thre freight is usually in the price already, so just the list price -500 plus tax will get you one....

Are you sure, MountainMax? On GM Canada, the base price $15995 excludes freight ($1160). I will go test-drive one tomorrow. Jack

hmmm, maybe that is true, I know the price that I built my car for has that freight included, maybe gm is posting a price that low without it as kinda a trick, everyone has to pay the same freight. Hey you can also haggle for another 500 off, I did

JackIt's true, in Canada the freight is not included in the price. And paying $1160 for it sucks bad, as it's half that price in the USA ($500 or $600). We get screwed here one more time...

I guess it's not included in that price, but it's shown in the total price in the sticker of every vehicle and included in the final price there, but for marketing purposes they make it sound as cheap as they can, it's false advertizing really.

$500 with the 2.4 engine, if you show you have a 72 month loan with another financial institution you get extra cash back for not using GMAC's money.

yeah, they will take 3 grand off if you do that, i done the math, you would need a very low interest rate for a bank loan for 72 months to make that worth wile.
