I just bought a truck online in another state. Here's my ideas for you....1. You might do a search on the zipcode/City and "car inspection" or zipcode and "Pepboys" or similar garage chain and get the seller to drive it over but you call the garage and pay for the report by credit card and so you get their report faxed or emailed to you.Or you might try using
http://www.carchex.com (they are nationwide)For about $100 they will inspect and test drive and give you a written report. Here's what their site says...."Order a CARCHEX 155 Point Vehicle InspectionCARCHEX will perform a 155-point pre-purchase auto inspection almost anywhere in the USA. Simply enter a zip code and vehicle information to see inspection pricing and packaging options. Our detailed auto inspection report includes the condition of body and paint, dents, scratches, rust, tires and wheels, glass, interior, missing parts, oil leaks, electrical items, and drive train performance." See a sample report on the website.Good luck.
