Just got back from dropping off my GT at the dealer for warranty work. The drivers door key tumbler and plastic surround is loose, you can move it around freely with your fingers. When I got off work today prior to going to the dealer I noticed I was missing a center cap off of one of my rims. I told the dealer about it when I dropped it off for the tumbler. They told me that it was an issue with the GT's and a bulletin was out about it.. Mine was the second one they had in for it. They also said the engineers don't know why it is happening. The temporary "fix" is to glue a new cap on with silicone, since the retainer clips aren't holding the centers on. Just till Pontiac figures out whats going on.

I picked up my GT. The dealer said there weren't any caps available. He said they are on back order till GM figures out the problem. Any way, now I have an empty spot on one of the rims till GM gets it together.

I am gonna pop the other 3 out, just so I don't lose them, and call the dealer after the holiday to see if they have any and are aware of the TSB.

So far, I've had four replaced and just lost another one. I finally just told the dealer, just order in another four, I'll need them in a month anyway. They are probably on backorder because they can't keep them on and we 2009 owners are losing them at a ridiculous rate. Another band-aid fix, saw it with the Solstice GXP, different problem, love those GM engineers! Here, just chew some gum, grab some bailing wire and do-it-yourself.....swell.......
