T&C Van - $7,000 off

Post by jake75 »

Today's paper - Dealer #1 $7,000 off T&C Vans includes $2,000 rebate for financing with ChryslerDealer #2 $23,190 MSRP T&C for $16,499 if financed through Chrysler.I don't understand why Chrysler is parting with $2,000 just to get the loan business - maybe they are charging 24% interest but I doubt that. I think you you can pay the loan off/refinance elsewhere in 6 months to avoid the interest anyway.

IDK what Chrysler is doing, but my boss just bought a Dodge Ram, with a sticker of 43k, for 19k. He has a friend that works at the dealership, and I guess the guy/dealership needed to push one more truck, but for half off?! Although, I don't know how much of an exaggeration the 43k is, but thats just what he said...

Many people who are desparate enough to get rid of their trucks / SUV's are now finding themselves getting 50 cents on the dollar for them... So a dealer desparate enough to give away a truck for about the same sounds feasible.$7k off is a good deal on the van... Not as inefficient as a truck but still probably a tough sale these days.

The dealer advertising $7,000 off has a basic $23,190 msrp T&C in stock that would be $16,190 plus tax and fees. The '08 T&C's are all Long Vans with a lot of safety features - ABS, more airbags, stability control etc. That is a lot of vehicle for $16,190. Lifetime powertrain warranty too.I bought a Short WB 2007 T&C a year ago for $15,517 that does not have these safety features. But I am not crying in my beer because I prefer the slightly shorter van, and I have standard cruise and power heated mirrors that you can't get in the 2008 without moving up to a model package that costs several thousand dollars more. And - I got the Lifetime powertrain warranty too. This T&C is our second car - it just sits a lot while we drive the Vibe for routine day to day errands etc.
