Brand New 09 Vibe vs. loaded 08 / 07

Why buy a new 09 Vibe that instantly depreciates when I take it off the lot versus a gently used 08 or 07 Vibe or Matrix with equivalently loaded (if possible) features? The 09 Vibe has a lot of standard goodies that the old Vibe or new Matrix has as only options.

I was just saying that because the 2.4L engine is the only advantage I see. I wouldn't want it because I couldn't justify putting more gas in something that isn't that much quicker.
