Is the '09 Vibe interior larger than the previous generation?

I have not been inside a new model Vibe yet and am curious about its interior size. I know the new Corolla is a bit larger on the inside than the previous model; is the Vibe larger too?

I know the cargo floor is larger than the previous generation vibe. I kept a custom made carpet (cut it myself) from my 06 vibe to install in the 09. It doesn't quite fit. The 09 has a larger cargo floor.

The "specs" indicate the cargo "area" is a little smaller. Perhaps that has to do with the slope of the roof.I never compared the specs for the passenger space.

The best way to gain knowledge is to experience it for yourself, so you may want to visit a choice Pontiac Dealer and try a Pontiac Vibe with and without a sunroof to get an idea on headroom. The dash and door panels do seem to be a little more "robust" making one's legs to come closer together.
