Hey guys and gals,Just curious to see who has a car alarm...which brand/type is best and what you think. It seems there are a few punks around here that like to mess with the cars parked in my gated apartment complex. No one has touched mine yet but someone did try to break into my neighbors SUV. They apparently tried to wedge a screwdriver between the passenger side window and the window seal. they severely cracked the glass and ran off without actually getting inside the car. This SUV has an alarm...or at least a flashing LED that mimics an alarm. My Highlander doesn't have anything to protect it. I don't really have anything in it that would warrant a break in but...you never know.So any way...what kind of alarm do you have and would you recommend it to me?Thanks,Wes

Well, this "should" be in the electronics section... But, I will Field it anyway... DEI is the way to go anymore for alarms, considering they own most of the companies making alarms.. Viper, Python, Clifford...ect.. I just bought a Python Responder LE (a few different versions so look for what you need) for my "other" car... It's PACKED with features and has a claimed 1mi+ range for the 2 way remote.. You can do all sorts of things with it, and in the event of a break in, the remote GOES BONKERS, to let you know... I could go on and on, but if you get ANYTHING DEI, you are doing well...
