My 2006 Vibe came with the (non-alloy) basic wheel set with hubcaps. See what these look like at: http://www.hubcaps-wheelcovers...s.htmThe car has not been expose to any road salt, but at 23,000 miles, the wheel surfaces had rusted badly in between the "spokes" of those hubcaps. Can't really explain why that would happen, but am guessing that wind-wear caused by the hubcaps may be the culprit.Anywho, I flat-black-painted over the rust, and things looked OK. But I had a few dings in the hubcaps, so I got this set of replacements at JC Whitney. See at: http://www.jcwhitney.com/autop...LVER They look great, and fit snugly. What you can't see in that pic, is that the fake lug nuts are bright plastic chrome, which look decent set against the caps' satin silver.Maybe, if wind-wear of the stock caps caused the rust, I won't have to deal with the issue again.
