hatch release on remote not working.

I recently bought a keyless remote on Ebay since my car didn't come with any. The programming went successful and everything else works. Even the panic button works (it came from a matrix). Is the remote supposed to pop the back glass? It doesn't do anything when I hit the button.

You can download a copy of the VIbe owners manual from http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1010. SInce you recently bought the used 03 Vibe, you probably didn't get one with the car.You have to press and hold the hatch button. The owners manual (page 2-10 of the 03 manual) saysQuote Â»HATCH: Press this button for about two seconds toopen the liftglass. If the key is in the ignition, theliftglass cannot be opened by the HATCH button onthe transmitter.
