2009 synthetic oil?

I've never used synthetic oil before but after reading on the forum a lot of people do use it. Should I switch to it on my first oil change? If so what brand should I use? Also what filter should I use? and lastly will changing the oil over 5000 miles with synthetic affect my warranty?Sorry for all the ?'s but I wanna get this straight.

That debate i think has been going on since the beging of time well at least since the beging of sythetic oil's time.I switched after 1st change on several vehicles Never had an Oil/Engine related issue.Going every 5K will not affect your warrenty, just save any recepits.
