What's everybody doing this weekend?

Post by KNINE »

I'm looking foreword to the three day weekend. Anybody doing anything fun??I plan on doing some kayaking, and some much needed yard work. I need to cruise the Internet and find something new to cook on the grill. I love my new hibachi.

I'm leaving at about 9:00 pm to drive from Detroit area to western part of the upper peninsula where my mom has a little place. It is about a 10 hour drive and I have a 6 year old, 4 year old, and a dog. We find it easier to drive at night due to less traffic and a whole-lot-less whining about if we are there yet. I actually get 10 days off so I'm excited and just biding my time here at work.

Mostly looking forward to the three day weekend. I'll be spending the 4th, itself with my girlfriend and her son. One of the towns nearby always has a great fireworks display but this year is their centennial celebration so it should be even MORE spectacular. Other than that, who knows what the weekend holds.

I think that I will be baling hay, trimming the goat hoof's, weeeding the garden, changing oil, rotating tires, etc. Hopefully, I will have enough energy to enjoy a malt beverage at the end of the day.

But this is different. It's a holiday weekend, and it's not Friay. Don't rain on my holiday parade.

From one perspective, it would appear "great" that you are employed and physically able to work!

Friday were going to a lake to visit with friends. we were supposed to stay there and camp with them for 4 days... but decided that since one of them invited 2 couples that we dont know and we only have 2 lots and are allowed 2 tents per lot it would be too crowded for us to be comfortable. So were just spending the day.Saturday I have a lot of family things to do... anniversarys, graduation parties and a lunch with out of town families... so i will be very busy. Sunday... I dunno. catch up on work or something.

We drove up to my parents' house this weekend. The family here will be my parents, my aunt and uncle, my grandmother, my girlfriend's mom and my girlfriend's little sister. It's a full house :-)FridaySmoking some salmon fillets, some sausages, and some chicken. Grilling some shrimp & vegetable shish-kebabs, amongst other food items. Lots of beer. Probably some time in the pool, we're busting out the ping pong table and the dart board. We may also head downtown and watch some of the bike races they do every year.SaturdayMore cooking, because that's what we love to do. For lunch, it's hamburgers and hot dogs. For dinner, we have a whole salmon to grill, plus some other goodies.Sunday, it's time to go back home because I have to work a half shift, then we have training in the evening, because we have a significant product that's coming out next Friday.

Oh yeah, I forgot. In between all of my other activities, I'm going to wash Kristen's Vibe, then clay bar it, and if I have time, I'm going to put a coat of Klasse All-In-One on it.

bummer I rebelled on Friday and didn't leave the house. Stayed in and played video games in PJs... Chris and I went to hear Baltimore Symphony and see fireworks at Oregon Ridge Saturday night. Today... working... Monday, we're taking apart his Civic SIs front end for a bunch of work we've been meaning to do, washing and waxing both cars, then I have class in the evening.
