Please Help

I'm looking for new rims and new summer tires. I'll look for and buy dedicated winter tires later. I know nothing! I do know that I'd like to fill my wheel well more and then all that comfort and handling stuff. There's so much information out there and my tires are getting bad and are in need of quick replacement. What can you recommend? Oh, and do I need to know something about "bolt pattern"?Thanks in advance.

There are a number of enthusiast-friendly wheel/tire sites that help you select rims and tires that will actually fit your car, as well as preview what the rims will look like on a stock Vibe.Please take a bit of time to SEARCH out specs in GenVibe threads, but IIRC, the (first generation 2003-2008) Vibe stock rims are 16-inch with a 100mm 5-bolt circle, with 38mm offset, and the stock tires are 205/55-16. There are a number of photo chop threads where you can view rims on member Vibes, too.I'd start by looking at Tirerack.com, and Tires.com (Discount Tire) only because I've purchased tires several times from them both, and always had a great experience.It helps if you create a profile "garage" with your current vehicles and save it, so you can review saved selections on return visits to the site.

increasing the size of the rim wont change the wheel well gap, as you increase rim size you decrease the sidewall height of the tire. decreasing the sidewall height will create a harsher ride because there is less rubber to absorb impacts. to decrease the wheel well gap you need lowering springs.from what i understand, increaseing handling is not likely to increase comfort. what are you looking to get out of "that comfort and handling stuff"? also, the major key in this discussion, how much are you looking/ able to spend
