I changed to Verizon a couple months ago and love it. The customer service is 100% better than anything I got from AT&T after spending 5 years with them. I have the LG Voyager and the touch screen did take a little to get used to. We get a great discount through my wife's work.

I've been with them for a long time. Just switched plans again, actually and my employer is paying for part of mine now.I went from an LG Chocolate (not a particularly nice phone) to a RIM Blackberry 8703e. Definitely like the Blackberry. In any case, service-wise they're great. They're the only provider around my area that has consistent service at a decent rate. Alltel has good service around here too but they are priced higher.

I've been on Verizon for about 5 yrs now, no real complaints; except on their data service-it utterly sucks. I'm not talking about a Crackberry or such, I'm talking about the USB data cards for laptops. VERY slow, and consistantly dropping out. If I went a week without using it, I had to call customer service every time to get them to 'let' me back on the service. After 6 months of this, I got them to agree to let me buy out the remaining contract for 1/2 of what they wanted, since it was their equipment, but I wanted OUT. Back to the cell service, I also have an enV, my wife has a Crackberry, and both work fine as phones.P.S. Millster, you know Verizon just bought Alltel, right?

I switched to Verizon a couple of years ago because they had the only wi-fi capable smart-phone at the time. I used to have Sprint for like a decade. Sprint's CS was a flat out joke. Good service until you had a problem, then NO customer service. Verizon is okay signal-wise, but they're a little shady on their contracts. My coworker has Verizon too and she added a line to their family plan for an uncle. The uncle then ran up all their minutes and disappeared with the phone. When they contacted Verizon to get that phone off their plan, they were told they would be charged an early cancellation fee to make that change to the account. Even though they're still keeping the plan and the original phones... asshats.Sprint gave me no problems doing something like that whenever I wanted to.

I have Verizon as well... I'v been with them for 6+ years now and I think they are good. My parents have had them for a few years and they are pleased. I have signal problems from time to time, but other than that I like them. I have a LG Chocolate version 2 and it's a pretty sweet little phone. Almost got an env, but I don't text enough to need the keyboard. I am digging the Glyde though... might upgrade to that when my contract runs out.

I've been with only Verizon since like 1992, and only Motorola phones. Just yesterday I picked up MOTO w755, as my Razr screen blanked out on me. Verizon service is good, though at home we do have some dead spots/failed calls/drops which they say is interference from the military antennas on the mountain near us. I've never had a problem with billing, and it's convenient that I can go into the Verizon office near me or at a mall and feed the machine bill payment money.

I have verizon and have had since '04 when i used to have sprint prior to my first deployment. When i returned Sprint hadn't shut off my phone like i asked and they said that i owed them somewhere in the range of 2200 dollars i was so PO'd that i kept calling higher and higher until i reached an exec at the sprint office I think it was in TN or KY. I told them that if they didn't remove the charges and send a letter out to all the credit bureau's in a week then i would be taking them to court for failure to abide by the service members civil relief act. I was actually sent a check for 320 dollars and they sent out the letter. It was nice. ha ha

i have verizon and hate it, i'm on my parents family plan for about 6yrs and want to upgrade my phone with the new every 2 yrs deal from a pos nokia to a blackberry but every time i go into a verizon store i get a different answer about being able to upgrade my phone. i've been told that i can't because i'm not the primary # on the account, i've been told that i can at but have to pay full price and another time was told that i can at some discount. my previous phone was a motorola flip phone (not a razr) and it got replaced 7 time cause of various items deciding to stop working so they replaced it with my current nokia. my nokia never has a signal and is constantly dropping calls. i want to go to a blackberry cause verizon doesn't f up the software on them but in order to get a blackberry i have to get the internet data plan which i dont want and cant afford. the tech guys have been great about replacing phones for me but the sales people dont have a clue.depending on where i find a job i plan on switching to at&t as long as they have good signal in that area.

I've been with Verizon for god only knows how long. Each time I go to upgrade they ask me if I want to update my # cause it's so old. Starts with a 376, haha.Never had issues with their service, got my fiance to switch from Crapular when she got no signal in her apt. and I had full bar. Got the first color screen phone from them (Audiovox). Then went to LG phones and never looked back. They are fantastic, last forever and take a beating.Right now I'm rolling with the LG Venus, my fiance has the Voyager. Love em!!!! Venus is on the right, bottom of the screen is touch, slides open for keypad, 2 megapixel camera/video. The Voyager (left) full touch screen, opens for a QWERTY board and anothe color screen. Same camera as my Venus.

I had an analog Motorola brick phone back in the 90's back when it was GTE, does that count? Got $print now, they're a bunch of douches anymore but it costs me money to leave them. Verizon's customer service sounds kinda nice!

I've had verizon from day one....my dad's retired from Bell Atlantic/Verizon....think he worked there for over 30 some years and states that as far as he's concerned that Verizon has the best service ...believe him because I've only had one dropped call and actually I think it may have been caused by me accidentally pushing a button...used to have one of the original LG Chocolatesbut being that the chocolate had exterior heat sensitive controls it became hard to give reports to the hospital with no hands bumping around in the back of an ambulance and it was time for a new phone according to my contract anway......currently now have a LG-VX8700just wish we could get FIOS in our area

I've switched to Verizon last summer when I got married (was on my parents' ATT plan before). I haven't had any trouble with them other than not particularly caring for the condescending attitude of the guy at the local store. I did have to call them and cancel some parts of the plan that I didn't want after I had everything set up because they wouldn't let me customize the contract up front. My wife and I both got cheap LG phones, but I don't like them. I had a samsung phone before that had a much more intuitive interface (and you could turn the sound off without opening the phone, which was very convenient). Granted, we only use them for phones and not cameras, email/im devices, audio/video players, game consoles, or transmogrifiers (or whatever the latest options are these days). The coverage is about the same as ATT around here and all the providers I've heard about are a little spotty. I suspect that's because the terrain is very hilly/mountainy and the hills are primarily composed of granite. That's entirely speculation since I have no idea what effect granite would have on cell signal, but it's the best I could do without lab testing. We only chose Verizon because there were no ATT stores around here. Her family is on Verizon and mine is on ATT, so that was the deciding factor.

I am a light user - went to STI-MOBILE PREPAID - costs me 10 cents a day plus 10 cents a minute. A $25 card lasts me at least 3 months. A couple years ago at Staples they had a $99 rebate deal on $99 phones, limit 3. I got 3 Samsung A460. So I have extra phones and batteries if the one I use goes bad . They don't do that anymore but you can get good deals on a phone at their http://www.stimobile.com. They use the Sprint network - not as good as Verizon but for the money I am satisfied.
