Cigar Lighter Doesnt Seem To Work ?!?

The Cigar Lighter in my Vibe 03 looks very flimsy - rotates and comes out easily (is this the way it is for all vibes?). I plugged in my mobile car charger, but it doesn't seem to work. Should i ask the mechanic guy to fix it or can i fix it myself? Should i get a new one or can i repair the old one? Please help.Thanks

Do you have an actual metal cigrette lighter OR is it just a plastic plug?? You might need a "smokers" pagkage to get an actual working lighter... I know some have installed the proper gear, the wiring is there, but no "lighter" or connection... If you look in the bottom of the center console, you "should" have another 12v outlet there...

It is an actual metal cigar lighter. When i push in the cigar lighter into the socket, it goes in, but when i pull it out, the whole thing comes out and the cigar lighter is not hot enough (no power to make it hot)
