My hood is pretty beat up, chips etc. Trying to decide if a bra would look OK to cover it up. Or whether to ante up for some paint work. I've found some bras on sale on the net, but none with good pics for the vibe.

it's not really a "bra" persay..it's more like a clear vinyl that goes on the front, like the bumpers, fenders, hood and even the mirrors to prevent stone chips in the actual paint..http://solutions.3m.com/wps/po...nfilm

All to funny... back on topic:I've always thought about getting the clear 3M guard on the front of my vibe... but never got around to doing it cause it's like $200 or more...
I don't have any chips.. or if I do... very minimal. (but for st_pinetree as suppose since he does, it really won't pay for him to do the "clear bra"... unless he get's a new hood... then that would be the first thing I would do.the worst part on my car is the back bumper behind the wheels... maybe I should get mud flaps...
my hood is beat to snot, and it seems to have gotten worse since I lowered the car. Think ill have to get it repainted, or perhaps get a nice new custom one : )

lol ya it's quite expensive cause of the material..plus you're paying guys to put it on for you..but wouldnt you rather spend $600 now on that stuff then say $1500+ to paint your hood and bumper cause of stone chips? even though i cant speak cause i dont even have anything to protect the front of my car
Car bras can be as destructive or MORE destructive than the rock chips..!!! If you get anything under them (dirt) it's held aginst the paint and acts like a sander... If they get wet, they can STICK to the paint... and finally, as your paint fades around it, the paint under it stays the same shade as when it went on... Clear bras are expensive, but you can also purchase the material and do it yourself if you are crafty..
