What Brake Pads Are You Using?

Post by The Critic »

Hi everyone,I need to do a brake job on a '06 Corolla that uses the same brake parts as the VIBE. I figured that I'd check in with this forum to see what pads have been working well for you folks. I am especially interested in hearing if any of you have used the Raybestos Professional Grade Ceramic or QuietStop Ceramic pads on your vehicles with good results. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Sounds like your looking for marketing information for Raybestos. But if you really want to know, I use OEMs since I've had bad experiences with after markets in the past and nowadays the "fear" of Chinese's knockoffs. I wouldn't use performance unless i had performance rotors, calipers, exhaust, sway bars........... you get the picture.

Stock pads work fine for me. But if you're going autocrossing or on the track, for safety's safe, upgrade your brakes.

Thanks for the replies. The dealer here in-town was too pricey, so I went with Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors and their Advanced Technology pads. Price was about $146 all together. The pads come with new abutment clips as well. I will install them on Saturday and give a full report on the results.
