Black Strips on roof

Post by Envy03 »

The black strips that fill the "track", where the roof rack is on the 03 (infront of the roof rack, kinda located where the roof rack begins), I found out yesterday has come undone or unstuck. Any suggestions?

When I got my 0 I noticed the strip was not in the clip, I pulled it off for a few days, then after taking a look I realized all I had to do was slide it into the clip.It was pretty easy from what I rememberoh and it used no adhesive just the notches

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to this topic, the piece I'm speaking of fills in the trough like area between the front of the roof rack and the windshield.

One of mine came undone this winter, just slid/clipped it back in. No glue necessary. It has been in place for a few months now with no issues.

Envy03Like others I had one come unclipped, and it took me more than one try but I got it clipped back in correctly and it has stayed there for several years since. Some people have glued them in place, I am glad I didn't need to. Try just getting the front in the clip wellWhen mine had come unclipped, it got somewhat bent, so I took it off completely and let it sit on the roof on a hot sunny day, that softened it up, had it re-take the contour of the roof.Glad to see at least one Envy Viber active around here. Kamikaze, if you completely take off the roof rack it looks like crap, especially in the back. Some people have bought replacement pieces to fill the holes. Whatever matrixes have up there won't help
