auto trans problem

Hi all,I just bought a 2003 awd vibe with 58k. the problem i'am having is sometimes when im driving a constant speed and starting up an icline the trans will vibrate like it is sliping between gears for a secound before it shifts down. it only dose this soetimes. any ideas?thanks,mike

Hmm.....kinda difficult to diagnose. Maybe some of the other AWD'ers will have some insight. Maybe a differential problem? You state it happens on an incline so maybe the front tires are slipping and thus engaging the rear tires. And if you're going down an incline the transmission will downshift to engage some engine braking and that can sometimes feel weird but is normal.

I don't have such an issue. sounds like something in the drive train that is not working correctly. Wish i could be more help.
