Can someone with Teins check something for me?

Post by breezd »

Ok, I bought a set of Tein's on ebay a lil over a month ago. I tried to cross-reference the part number on the springs to make sure that they actually were Teins and for the vibe, but I couldn't find the part numbers (that are printed on the springs) anywhere on the net. Can someone, maybe that already has tein springs, look at this and make sure that I didn't get ripped off... I know its too late for me now, but I just wanna know before I get them installed and they aren't right....here's the link to the ebay auction i won... part #'s are listed and also shown in the second pic. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

OHHH>>> I couldn't find the site... but I remember one thing that was different between counterfeit ones is the way the part # is on the box, and how it's printed on the spring, it should follow the spring coil parallel, and not straight across the spring (not at a slant)

I know what you're trying to show me, I've looked at the site before.I know that the site says that the Tein logo and product number have to be printed on the spring and not a sticker. They ARE printed right on the spring. And following the direction of the spring. So if they are fake, they are pretty good Biggest thing i'm worried about is whether they are the correct springs to fit on my VGT.

Thanks guys for the fast responses. I didn't get the actual Tein box with the springs, just a plain ol' brown box. Probably since they are used and were taken off their Vibe...Now the next question is to whether the part numbers are actually the vibe ones. Cause I can't find that part number thats printed on the springs anywhere. Anyone have their own pic of their Teins? Plus, I wanna know if these are H-Techs or S-Techs! I don't really know how to tell the difference by just looking at them...Thanks again everyone!

S: Green: SKL06-AUB00H: Gold: SKL06-BUB00Also, not positive, but I think the base and GT's are the same... it's the AWD that are different.

Thanks. The part numbers is really what confuses me. I know about the SKL06-AUB00, but thats not what's on the springs. This is what's on the springs: Rear: R-P1L07-OUO FHC Front: F-P1L06-OUO FHCThose are what I need checked out. I don't know if those are individual product numbers to the specific springs or what, all i know is that they better fit on my car!I REALLY can't wait to get the springs on... now I just need some rims... anyone in WI/IL/IN/MN got any to part with? I'll even take stock 17's! lol

Well I've got it set up to get my springs installed this coming Tuesday night. A friend of a friend is installing them for me for $100. I just gotta get an alignment on my own, which is about $70 at a tire place around here. I guess I'll just keep everyone posted and get pix up when its done on Tuesday!

I wouldn't install them until you cross reference the part numbers. Check with a Tein dealer. I tried to find that part# on the Tein website: http://www.tein.com/ but couldn't find it. If they are the wrong springs with the wrong spring rate etc. they will totally f*&% up the handling of the car and could make it dangerous to drive.
