I've run across a lot of products including the K&N Typhoon intake, that claim to fit both the GT and the Base models. Can anyone tell me the differences that would cause a GT product not to work with the Base model.I have a 2006 Base model Vibe and I am looking to find out my performance mod options. I really just am looking for either a CAI or Short Ram, a cheap but good sounding exhaust solution, and a tuning setup that would allow the engine to make the best of the better breathing intake and exhaust. Any help is appreciated, and please don't be too harsh, I'm new to the Vibe and this site.

welcome to the family.i don't think there are any serious installation differences with the typhoon intake on a base or GT. like V said, she installed one on her base model, and if you can't figure it out through the instructions and a site search, i bet she (or someone else here) would be more than willing to help you.i have a typhoon SRI on my GT, and i LOVE it
