Soo let's just say you had some disposable income of about $150 (or a little more or a little less)What appearance mods would you do to your Vibe to set it off?I have an 03 that is stock (minus the FSTB) Lava w/ the grey cladding and I want to do something appearance wise. I say $150 ish because that is something I can spend, right now I can't do Rims or Lowering (but will get both done within the next year probably). Sorry I do not have any pics, my digi-cam is dead. Also I would like to know where I could obtain these items. I notice E-bay has a lot of stuff, but I want to look at a little more reliable places. Thanks a bunch!
Appearance wise, I don't think there's much you can do for $150...Maybe something with the exhaust... I was thinking rear wing, tint, maybe a billet grill, but pretty much those things run more than $150...i was going to say to do air intake... but if you want appearance, you won't see that. You might be able to find a set of HID's...Honestly if you're on a budget, and you want to do something appearance wise... save it until you can get enough for some wheels. They will be your single most thing appearance wise that would make the most difference.
yeah.. the lowering/rim thing is going to have to wait until I get a second job or something. I am going to end up driving this thing around for at least 5 years and want to make it my own, ya know? I was looking at grilles but it's hard to find them on anywhere except E-bay. I must be r-tarded because I am used to just going to google and typing in "Accord parts" or "Grand Prix parts" but I can't seem to do the same for this vehicle.
Well, Genvibe is the best place to look for good stuff used... better than most the ebay stuff... other wise there's this link to all sorts of different websites member's have found stuff for vibes:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=20116I hear ya on the search thing. Here's the website for Mr. Grille's Billet Grills:http://www.mrgrille.com/MrGril....html
I would suggest a few things... G2 Caliper Paint - $45Some GrafxWerks overlays. (Side/Rear Emblems, "Pontiac" Hatch Insert) $37Window Vent Visors - $66... Just a few ideasDave
Quote, originally posted by WaveAction »for $150..i'd get these..http://www.neverenoughauto.com...=4717$150 on the dot and free shipping..Ohhhh... I should get them... Install isn't that hard.. but remember... you'll also have to do an alignment afterwards...$$
I found my hotchkis springs NEW on ebay sealed in the box for $80. haha so many deals to be found.mods:billet grille lowering springsused spoilers from junk yardvent visorsexhaust tip (GM one)tint the carIMO though, a air intake would be the best bang for the buck.
Personaly I think lowering a vehicle can be onr of themost notable exterior change to a cars appearance, just below getting rims that don't appear to be factory.
look my sniggies, i had a strizz-oke in my brizz-ain okay, you know what im saying. so i cant move all good. but thanks for mentioning that .thank you very much.athf4evr. click here! you know you want to!!!
how much is the alignment off when lowered? i never had to do alignment on my sunfire when it was lowered 2.5 inches all around...i actually just ordered the stech springs plus i do free alignment since i work at a dealer..bonus!
It's off a little bit when you lower it.I would pick up 2 camber bolts for the fronts. If you come out Wednesday,I'll hook you up with a guy that can get them cheap.

Okay, but question on the lowering springs...Do I NEED to get struts with them too or can I just do the springs? I mean if I did this I would probably just hold onto the springs until I get the struts too because I would like it if this thing handled close to something on rails I am going to make a list of these suggestions and kind of knock them out one by one I think... my birthday present (I suppose to myself) will be lowering.. I got another 2 months for my B-day but hell I can do it if I want Thanks guys!
you dont NEED to get new struts to go along with the springs.. im not sure if theirs actually good aftermarket struts that are adjustable and are ment to be lowered..but stock struts work just as fine...my sunfire held up for 2 years with it lowered 2.5 inches and they were fine..now of course the stock struts wouldnt last aslong as they should if you were to lower..but it aint necessary to get new ones just to lower
On my Eclipse and my Civic I started by just swapping out the springs. I eventually upgraded the struts in the civic to KYB GR2's but it wasn't neceesary (it was in my case b/c the struts needed to be replaced anyway, wether I went with OEM or aftermarket didn't matter)So, yeah, you don't have to get new struts, unless the ones you have are bad...
