Personally I don't think so...I've done quite a few brake jobs, but basically it's as simple as taking off the caliper, replace brake pads pull off old rotors, replace with new... I have a shop w/ hoist and all the tools, so it's probably a little easier. I have not pulled rotors on my vibe (2006) so w/o looking can't tell you exactly how to do it.
Very simple - I had my father in-law help out just in case, because I hadn't touched brakes in probably 20 years. As far as the rotors themselves, just take the old off and put the new on. Nothing to it.It did take us forever to get the rotors off though. We were starting to think there was something holding them on (which there is NOT). But they finally came off with lots of pounding, prying and elbow grease.
I did mine this past weekend, it was pretty easy. You have to take off the caliper (2 bolts) and the pice the caliber bolts into (another two bolts) You may have to beat on the old rotor to break it loose if it is rusted onto the hub, but if you've taken off the piece the caliper bolts onto, then there is a good open space on the back side for beating.Much easier than the last time I replaced a rotor, which was on a full size Dodge truck, the rotor on that was an integral part of the hub and carried the main wheel bearing.
