All I can say is (removed)... major screw up...I would demand a free month due to their screw up saying you owe them... and threaten that you'll disconnect your service with them just as they threaten to do the same to you...You think they would check and recheck before sending a bill for that kind of amount... I guess it's no different than when I deposited 400 into my checking account and the next day I had $40,000 in my account... I was going to try to withdrawl it all, but they caught the error before I could do anything...
yeah i talked to them earlier because i received a strange recorded phone call (before my mail even came in today), and the lady told me how much i owe, which is nothing near that much. when i opened the letter and looked at the total, i was like (removed) for a minute, then i just laughed.my mom came over to visit, and she wanted to call to see if she could get them to give me any type of credit. they said there were other letters that went out showing stupid amounts of money too, but they won't give anyone a credit. so she said she's gonna be writing letters loli asked my mom, "what if i would've just had the money and sent a check without seeing what the problem was, do you think they would've called me asking why i sent em so much money??". i doubt it

I'd do a credit check to make sure it's not an ID theft issue. There's an actual $85,000 bill that occurred here a few months ago. The guy thought he could use his cell for a modem so he wouldn't have to pay for a cable connection. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/calga....html- - - On a side note, did you notice that you blacked out your last name on the header of the bill, but not on the letter itself?
lol actually kunk, i didn't notice that. i just did it fast, and didn't double check anything. i just wanted to black out my weird last name so you guys wouldn't make fun of me actually i don't care if my name shows up on there, i just wanted to block my account #, so at least i got that one right the story you posted is crazy. 85 grand?? mine was just a computer error, the lady at sprint said my account had no extra charges, and i'll owe nothing more than i usually pay per month

Convince them to give you a month or two free for emotional trauma Yeah, the kid here was an idiot. He signed up for an unlimited monthly web browsing fee, so he assumed that meant that he could use it as a modem and get his unlimited browsing that way. They should have made him pay the full 85k. Nobody warned him that his bill was so high. *sigh* Another case of stupid people expecting the rest of us to prevent them from doing stupid things.
yeah, it seems like people want us to excuse their stupidity more than i want people to excuse my french at least my phone bill wasn't as bad as this guy's:http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12247590/

They had whats his name from Office Space write the code for their accounting software, he put the decimal point in the wrong place again. always screws up on some mundane detail. I'm glad you really don't owe that much, that would suck. Think they'd let you finance that out for 5 years like you would a car if you really did owe that much? (removed)
