having played the other 8 gta's (yeah, 9th GTA game but it's called 4.) i'm going to avoid this one at least for a few months. as for the 10/10. haha, not warrented. if you notice, ign.com will gripe about a game, and give it atleast a 7. check this out:""How can we trust a videogame review when the outlet running it has been given a major commercial favor — one that's worth money — from the publisher of the game? You never see a paper or TV station getting special access from a movie studio or TV network or book publisher to run an "exclusive review," " says Ben Fritz."Imagine the L.A. Times or Roger Ebert touting their "exclusive review of 'Iron Man.'" Absurd, right? So why do we tolerate it for a videogame?"Fritz references IGN as a clear example, a site which recently ran an exclusive review of Grand Theft Auto IV and gave the game a 10/10 score. He also talks about Game Informer, which gave Mass Effect a near-perfect score despite noting several problems with the game." - Joe Martin from this article
http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2...ing/1i used to be like that, read the reviews, and then buy. but after dealing with so many "great, best game of the year, get it now" games that did not deserve the rankings they got, i now will either let my friends waste their money, i mean buy the game cause they still believe the hype, and then borrow it from them later or just avoid it all together. the last game i purchased was CoD 4 pc, only after playing many hours of it on the 360 and enjoying it. before that? orange box. and before that, um.... ffxi expansions after many reviews and conversations with other players about the content and if they felt it was worth the value.
None. Vibe is gone.
