I just got home from the dealer buying an 09 Vibe. It is red hot metallic, I got the preferred package, air conditioning, and an alarm system. It has the 1.8L engine with a 5 speed manual transmission. Just drove 92 miles and the fuel gage just barely moved from the full mark. It has the most comfortable seat for driving. I love it so far.Vance
welcome to the fam. i don't think anybody said it yet, so post some pics

I have had many compliments from people on this forum and from people I meet when I am out and about. I really appreciate it. I made a great choice in cars. I originally was going to get a Chevrolet Aveo, but after I had sat in one, I found I didn't have enough room to sit in it. Pleanty of head room, but with the seat all the way back, my knee's were still jammed against the dash. I'm glad it turned out the way it did. With the Vibe, I got a better quality car with pleanty of head and leg room. I even have to have the seat moved forwayd a little to reach. I also like the fact that the cargo area has rubber strips. Large things stay where you put them. I am also impressed with the radio that comes standard with this car. I have usually had to buy aftermarket stereos for my cars so I can have the features in them I want. Not this one.I have had a couple of people ask me why I got a manual transmission. They wonder if it is a pain to have to shift it so many times in the city driving I do. I have driven stick shift vehicles alot. Mainly class 8 trucks for US Express before they converted their fleet to automatic transmissions and a local company. It is so second nature to me that I do it without hardly thinking about it.This car is so easy to drive. I can make a u-turn in the space of a narrow city street. And it is easy to park as parking spaces are very large compared to this car.As many have said here, I will drive this until it can't be driven anymore
I'm a bit late with this, but welcome! That's a red-hot '09 you have there. You've found a great car and a great place to hang out... Congratulations!
