First time Vibe owner here wondering...

Post by mysaygrace »

Hello, first time Vibe owner here wondering if you can tell me your opinions on how the AWDs does in the snow. I have always been a loyal Honda owner and bought the Vibe mainly because of the Toyota engine and the AWD. But I have to be perfectly honest after one week of owning my 2009 AWD Vibe I'm absolutely LOVIN IT!!!!! Just hope it can meet up to all my expectations and last like a Honda or Toyota. I live on a farm and wonder if this little zippy car can make it up my lane when the snowfalls and it gets slick. Will sure beat having to get out and lock in my hubs on our huge Ford F250 to just drive in four wheel drive. I'm impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of this message board, just might make me a Vibe owner for life...

with snow tires on my fwd vibe i did fine in snow. AWD with the stocks will also do fine in the snow, but if you got snow tires you'll be in excellent shape for anything (with in reason ). There will be lots of posts from awd owners so you'll get real answers soon!Welcome to the site! I know after I had my vibe i loved it too!! what a sweet car.

I have an 05 AWD. I love it. It did fine in the snow and ice this year. This year's weather wasnt as bad as it has been in the past but the awd did great getting me through all the drifts that I had. I live in the country and our road is one of the last to get plowed but I was able to get everywhere I needed to go with no problem.Welcome to the forum!

for PA... you will love having the AWD as I do... I got threw two seasons with just my stock Allseason tires on. I did have a bit of slipage with the second season... If you want to play it safe... get four snows and you will be good up to 8-10inches, if your a good driver... I personally drove threw 6-7inches in my all seasons with out much issue.
