Alignment: How often?

Post by ~MRVIBE2006~ »

A couple of weeks ago, I just put the summer shoes back on the Vibe and was wondering, should I get her aligned again? Maybe wait a little longer into the season and get it done or at the next oil change (600 miles to go on that)? The car seems to drive just fine and these are the tires I had on it when I got it aligned the last time.Any opinions?

AFAIK you align only if and when needed - pulling to the side or uneven wear.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

I am a firm believer in "if it aint broke don't play with it". Like ragingfish said, watch for uneven wear or pulling. My '99 GMC 4x4 has never been aligned and has seen plenty of offroad abuse. My tires are going on 4 years old and are wearing perfectly. Until that changes, I'm not touching the alignment.

Click and Clack say the #1 cause for front end alignments are alignments... Don't screw around with it if you're not experiencing any pulling or abnormal tire wear.
