15inches wheels on a 2009 2.4L?

Post by kowell »

I know the 2009 2.4L Vibe uses 17 inches alloys 5x115 and can be outfited with 205/55R16 wheels and tires for winter but is there a 15 inches tire that be fitted on the model? Wheels and tires would cost a good 250-300$ less than 16 inches.

195/65/15 is a near perfect match for 205/55/16. A lot of Vibers use this size for snow tires.

Will a 15inch wheel be too small for the 2009 2.4L's bigger disk brake system?

It depends on the offset. You will need to know the offset on the new Vibes. Then you can do a search for a vehicle with 15" wheels the same bolt pattern and offset. The older Vibes used a Corolla 15" wheel but they are 5x100 bolt pattern. Of course by using a 15" wheel you will need a taller tire which means poorer handling but smoother ride.

The 2009 2.4L uses a 2007+ camry wheels with 5x114 pattern, thus my uncertainty
