So i started up the car yesterday and the supercharger sounded like it had rocks in it. I searched and think that it might be the bearings. Anyone know where i can get some technical specifications in .pdf? I'm looking for information that relates to supercharger oil filling. My neighbor told me he saw some smoke coming from my car last week, i'm thinking something leaked, and the oil drained out. Anyone have this problem?
it does sound like its coming from where the screws are, so about dead center of the SC.How dangerous is it to drive with it like this? should I pull it out immediatly?
HA finally found it, here check this thread out.http://www.9thgencorolla.com/f...41602the screws spin so close if something got in there or they arent workign properly they could rub and make noise. if you say the noise is from the DEAD center of the SC then its something to do with the screws and you need to take it off the block and see if something is broken in there.
It sounds like your coupler is going. It might be a good idea to open her up and check the condition of the oil and the coupler itself. On side note,it's not a tiny bit of chattering when it's cold, and goes away when warm is it.

If it goes away when warm, what would it be? And anyone know where to get a SC repaired or where to buy parts for these things?
Judging by your answer,it never sounded like that before. Are you sure it's from the s/c,because when my belt tensioner went I swore something was wrong with the s/c.Just make sure first before you spend your money.Did you see any signs of an oil leak? This place also rebuilds s/c's,and so does magnuson.http://www.psesuperchargers.com/

Yeah I agree ^ take off the SC and spin the pulley by hand to see if its the screws making the noise or the snout, but also check around the engine to see if its something else.

I got in touch with Magnuson today, they do warranty work on the SC's and since its 5 months old, it might be handled under warranty...sweet!

BUT sweet to hear its only 5months old and maybe covered! It should be I would think if its that young a sc and you bought it new.
It was bought in November brand new in a sealed box, installed in the beginning of December by a local Toyota shop. The only thing I can think of is that because it is installed on a 05, and I'm running water injection, and the hydrogen cell, that the warranty might not be honored.
if you can make your car look stock.....with the sc I would recommend it. They may frown upon tho mods and say that caused it. Where does your water injection inject to? cai or into the SC itself?

depends if you take it to toyota/gm to get looked at or are sending the SC in to toyota or magnuson. If you take it to toyota/gm i would recommend installing the stock air box, otherwise they could blame your cai, as the instructions say to not use the cai, only the stock air box.
I dunno. Mine would always make some mechanical noise because, well, it is a mechanical unit. No major grinding or anything, just the sounds of gears turning and whatnot.
His coupler is done, but the good thing is we will experience the same in the future-wuhoo!But the new style coupler lasts longer than the original ones in ours.
