seafoam?

Post by Twizted-Vibe »

i just bought a can of seafoam to clean out my engine. ive used this on other cars easily and got awsome results. Right now my gas milage iss 260-300 to a tank which is terrible. i figured this may jelp some and also free up some power. On other cars i just leave the motor on and slowly pour it in the throttle body till i start seein smoke from the exhaust then leave it sit. When i tried it on this car, i cant get the car to stay running without the intake. when i remove the intake, the car stalls!Has nayone else used this? how you do it?

Remember, whatever you pour directly into the intake will not also clean the injectors. The cleaning solution must flow through the injector(s) in order to clean them.

I believe cleaners are usually "poured" into carbureted engines, down the carb. On EFI engines, the cleaner can be drawn/sucked into the intake thru the brake booster vacuum hose. Again, this method will not clean the injectors on EFI..........adding the cleaner to the fuel tank will.
