Hurt my rear wiper

Post by chevelle_lover »

I was to lazy to clear the snow off of the car the other day. When I went to leave the snow came off and hit the wiper. This pointed the wiper at the liscence plate. I am able to move the wiper back into the proper location and it works fine as long as there is no real load on the wiper (ie a little ice). For now I am going to change the wiper arm but I cannot figure out how to remove it. Has anyone done this yet.

pop the little plastic cover off and there will be a 10mm nut right underneath it... remove that nut and wiggle the wiper arm assembly off.easy peasy

Thanks for the information. Now that I am out of the woods with the cold I went out and pulled it off. The part is $55.00 but the parts guy gave me a few suggestions about how to fix the problem. He said to put an extra washer under the retaining nut to drive the arm a little further on. This would allow for the spline to recut itself into the bushing. We'll see how it works.
