Yesterday I just finished installing FatMat into my '06 Vibe. After getting everything back in my Driver seat feels a little slanted to the left, I could be paranoid but it feels uncomfortable. I do remember as I was taking the bolts out the first time they were really tight, and were a PITA to get out, how can I make sure my bolts are as tight as they originally were without killing my arm? Thanks.
I have never pulled out the Vibe's seat but in other installs I have gotten the carpet caught under the seat mount. This did cause it to sit slightly to one side.
If God didn’t want us to eat meat, why did he make the cow so slow? (Ever eaten a cheetah-burger? Nope. And you never will.)
where you able to spin the bolts in by hand, i mean start them by hand?? If not, you may have crossthreaded one or more of the bolts and you just stopped when it felt tight?? Possible?? Hopefully you didn't pinch any wires or anything.... I have a scary but funny story about pinched wires under a seat... I used to work doing car audio, at this really high end home audio shop..(they since stopped doing car audio) Well, long before I started working there one of the old installers did an install on the boss's car... 2 amps, one under each front seat... NO fuse at the battery....fast forward 5 YEARS, till i had been there 3 months... the boss comes in ranting about his car alsmot burning up.... Well, the old installer pinched the power wire under a seat bracket, no fuse near the battery, it finally chaffed through and burnt EVERYTHING from the passenger front seat all the way to the battery... the only thing that saved the car was the battery went DEAD... I had to repair all the burnt wires...
Try tuning your radio to the Rush Limbaugh show. That should eliminate any slant to the left.
