My tein springs came in today from fedex, picked em up and ran to the only shop in town that said they would install them. Most of them around here didn't want to touch them since they didn't order them( didn't get their cut i bet) The ride feels just as good as before and man the car looks so good now. I haven't been this excited since some friends and myself where at the midnight premier of star wars I. Now to get some updated pics : )As a side not I will be in the market for some rims this spring and will probably end up getting them from the local discount tire/bell Tire, etc. Any particular brands that they would carry I should stay away from or any brands to recomend?
Wow man, I just happend to look at your P-bucket, I didn't realize you were rockin JBL power and 3 10/12's... lol... I sure hope you keep that under wraps.. Gettin my stuff ganked is one of the biggest reasons I haven't thrown a bunch of stuff at my Vibe, god knows, i've got enough of it.. Right now I could put 4-10's running 1100w and a full component set, running active with 75w to each mid/tweeter... Wheels, oh yeah... wheels... um.. start looking, bring things you like here for approvial...lol.... Something BLACK would look sinister on that neptune.. oh yeah, i'm only ~1hr from you... north, slightly west...lol
oh yeah, i turn my stereo off several miles from my house and I have allways kept the rear cover thing on so it hid the fact there is anythign under there, especially sicne the box is carpeted in a nice grey that matches everything back there.I have been useing JBL amps since like 2001 or so, really like their product. The subs are 12 inch dual voice coil ( 6 ohm, so wireing them can be interesting) Kove audio. From what I have read recently Kove has gone out of business or rumored to have joined RE audio, don't know much about them. Hope if I blow one they all go, can't have any miss matching going on back there : )Oh btw the shop gave me back my stock springs, are they of any use to keep, or once they are off not safe to use again. They are still all nice and shiney black it seems other than soem salt on them

And just a FYI, if you blow 1 sub, mis-matching is NOT recommended, you can't compansate for the electrical missmatch, so if one goes, they all gotta go...

ya those help for the other people, i gotta ask though, when you lower a car, is it easier or harder to drive in the winter? i found in my sunfire when it was lowered with winter tires i had such a hard time driving it, i dont know if it's cause of clearance issues or not but man it was not fun
Its hard to say I haven't had a chance to drive it enough yet. In the area I live they only plow the main thru roads and not the sub division i am in so the roads are full of snow and all slick from people driving on it in certain spots. Its a little ruff there but not bad. Wheel wells deffinately get caked with snow alot easier now
yea i used to have problems on main roads when changing lanes, it just gets caught on the snow and pulls my car, then i spin out or fish tail all over the place lol
oh man! I have been gone waaaaay too long. You are like, living right next door to me! I go to msu and live in okemos currently! What are the odds.where did you end up getting the springs installed and how much was it? i have been so busy with school that the springs i got awhile ago have been sitting in the backseat for quite sometime now...

Mavrik ran his 04 vibe on s-techs for almost 2 full winters with just some snow tires. never got stuck, but did do quite a bit of spin spin spin. LOL. when I traded my Vibe GT in for the LGT, i had TRD springs (like H-techs), the LGT still sat lower stock than my lowered VGT! go figure!and OP, keep your stock springs. in case you decide to get rid of your car, you can swap them back and sell the used S-techs. If you mod your car, don't get rid of the stock parts. your car will actually lose value if you mod it too much since it takes it out of the vast majority of consumers. Take it back to stock, sell off the aftermarket parts to recoop some of your money. Plus, they will never give you anything for those mods unless they show in NADA as an option.
